For this exhibition, Koh Nguang How returned to photographs of Tang Da Wu’s goose-burial performance and recombined archival material with contemporary images and objects. The resulting installation, Why There Is No Goose Meat in Singapore?, was made in 2026.

The catalogue reads the work through a collision between Cantonese and Teochew food traditions, the retreat of farming, quarantine rules and the regulation of imports. A question about something absent from the table becomes a way to examine cultural life within the structures of an island-state. The installation also shows how an archive can generate a new work and a new public question.
